    Offered is a scarce denomination silver 4 reales from the POTOSI
    mint issue minted for Carolus IIII (PTS mint mark)
    Stunning example of
    the type.
    This is a late example of a type struck 1791-1808 at Potosi,
    Bolivia
    (then called Upper Peru).
    It was replaced in
    1816 by the bust of Ferdinand VII. P
    otosi four reales of Charles IV are very seldom seen.
    Assayer PJ is recorded for 1803-25.
