Description
I find these on the coast of Palos Verdes in Southern California. The mother lays a live shark inside the casing and it eats off a yolk sac. It spirals to the bottom and looks very similar to kelp. After the baby is big enough it pushes its way out the bottom because the egg casing is very malleable in the water. They wash up on shore with the kelp and dry hard and crusty. If you would like for a classroom, I can ship more and make a deal.
thanks for considering. Please email if you have any questions.
