1959 Soft Plastic White Western Electric 500 Desk Phone - Full Restoration

I don't know where this phone has been for the past 60+ years, but it hasn't been in the light! It's rare to find white phones from the 1970's that are still white, and this is from 1959. I has zero discoloring. And for the inside of the phone, all the components look new. Even the colors in the old cloth wires are still bright. If you've ever worked on these vintage phones, you know that the color coding of the old cloth clad wires fade with time and it can be hard to tell one color from the other. I've never seen the colors in a cloth cord this vivid before. The handset cord is also the original and still bright white.
Sadly, the line cord on this phone was cut off, so I put a newer cord on with a correct White #505 4-prong plug. The plug is also not painted or sanded. If you want to use this phone, just let me know and I'll throw in a modular adapter.
Condition:
All of the phones I sell are refurbished to look and work like new. This includes cleaning and lubricating dials, cleaning contacts on TouchTone keypads, updating wiring.
All phones are adapted for modular use, so all you have to do is plug the phone in and use it.
The exterior of plastic and Bakelite phones are polished to a high polish using commercial buffing equipment.
In the case of age discolored plastic phones, I have them repainted at a professional paint shop using the same materials and methods used by the
phone company for a very durable, high shine.
About Digital Dialing:
If you have digital phone service, you will probably be unable to dial out with this phone. This is correctable by building a digital converter into the phone. With this device installed you will be able to use this phone on any digital system. You will even be able to use # and *.

I must receive the phone back in the same condition it was sent out. So please pack carefully. I will not refund if it is damaged in shipping. You'll have to file a claim with the post office.
